Dr. Simons Hane Jr.

Dr. Hane is dedicated and committed to improving the lives of patients in the Port Royal area. His educational background and practical experience ensures the utmost comfort and quality care for all patients at the practice.

Dr. Hane is a State Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (SSOMS), South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association (ADA), and the South Carolina Dental Society Coastal District.

He graduated Dental School and completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Medical University of South Carolina.

During the four year Oral Surgery Residency Program, Dr. Hane became a Chief Resident from 2007-2008 at the Medical University of South Carolina. This intensive residency program included training within the hospital on a variety of topics including: anesthesia, general surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, and facial plastics.

Dr. William Decker is a highly trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care with a compassionate, patient-first approach. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Decker now serves the Lowcountry community as part of the team at Port Royal Oral Surgery alongside Dr. Simons Hane.

Dr. Decker earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating with honors and ranking among the top of his class. He then completed a rigorous oral and maxillofacial surgery internship for one year at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, before returning to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for his comprehensive four-year residency. During his training, Dr. Decker consistently demonstrated clinical excellence, scoring in the 95th percentile nationally on the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Training Examination (OMSITE) and earning the Durwood Back Award for top academic performance.

His advanced training includes comprehensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Dr. Decker has also participated in numerous national and international surgical conferences, including a craniofacial mission trip to Vietnam.

With certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS, Dr. Decker brings a high level of preparedness and professionalism to every case. He is committed to making patients feel at ease while providing safe, effective, and personalized surgical solutions.

When he is not in the operating room or office, Dr. Decker enjoys golfing, spending time with his fiancée Ashley Kate, and playing with his dog River. He also loves being active in the local community and taking in the natural beauty of the Lowcountry he proudly calls home.
